On such occasions, whilst you can rely on Dave for a hearty breakfast, in the evening Pauline is happy to provide a two or three course supper. Indeed, we have witnessed (and often been a part of) many happy evenings here, as guests relax around the dining table or in the living room after an exhilarating day out. But if eating out is your preferred option, we will be happy to recommend one of many excellent local pubs or restaurants.

Eastfield Lodge is full of maps, reference books and walking recommendations. If invited to do so, we will be happy to help you create an itinerary of stunning walks, whether your party is in search of higher level ventures on the fells or if you prefer strolling village to village on riverside paths, perhaps taking lunch in a traditional Dales pub on the way.

The walks we have documented also include routes in neighbouring Dales, such as Arkengarthdale, Swaledale, Bishopdale and Coverdale - each one as pretty as the other.

In the Coach House next door to Eastfield Lodge, we have a drying room and secure storage for bikes.
