Every now and then we post dates for our offers and Specialist Walking Breaks based at Eastfield Lodge, Leyburn.

A Walking Break in the Yorkshire Dales
in Wensleydale
Three Glorious Walks
Mossdale & Cotterdale . Wensleydale . Pen-y-ghent
Mike and Paula Chadderton invite you to beautiful Wensleydale for a Walking Break in the Yorkshire Dales. Spend four nights at Eastfield Lodge, Collett's charming Walking Lodge B&B just 250 yards from the picturesque market square of Leyburn, the principal town of Wensleydale and gateway to the Dales National Park.
Each day after a hearty breakfast we will venture out on a magnificent day walk, each one amongst the best in the area. After the walks there is time to relax in the hospitable atmosphere and comfort of Eastfield Lodge, where we have 9 delightful en suite bedrooms, a guest lounge and a spacious dining room. Tthe walks we are offering are designed to suit people of a moderate to good level of fitness.
Here is the programme:
Day 1 - Arrival
Meet at Eastfield Lodge during the afternoon.
Pre-dinner drinks followed by an informal two course supper.
Day 2 - Mossdale & Cotterdale
Drive to Hawes to start a delightful walk, which explores the wilder and more remote terrain of Mossdale & Cotterdale at the most westerly head of Wensleydale.
Packed lunch provided.
Evening - three course dinner with wine at Eastfield Lodge.
Day 3 - Pen-y-Ghent
Drive to Horton-in-Ribblesdale - A memorable walk to the summit of one of the three celebrated high peaks in the Dales.
Packed lunch provided.
Evening - we will book a large table(s) in a local pub and have a pub meal together (pay individually) or if you prefer, eat out independently. (We would be happy to book you into one of many excellent pub restaurants in the area.)
Day 4 - Penhill, Wensleydale
A short drive to West Witton. To start a walk that takes in the top of Penhill, which dominates many a view from Eastfield Lodge and itself commands spectacular views across much of Wensleydale.
Pub Lunch in a traditional Dales pub - pay individually.
Evening - three course dinner with wine at Eastfield Lodge.
Day 5 - Departure
Depart at your leisure, anytime after breakfast.

£TBC per person (based on two people sharing a room)
£TBC per person (where single occupancy is required)
Price includes bed, breakfast, informal supper (Day 1), packed lunches (Days 2 and 3) and three course dinner (Days 2 and 3) *These are guide prices only and may differ on each walking break, destinations for each walk may differ also.

Walkers, Cyclists and Mountain Bikers are all welcome to come, relax and rest weary feet in homely surroundings after a day in the Dales. Mike and Paula are happy to advise on walking and cycling routes throughout Wensleydale.

Mike & Paula
Eastfield Lodge Guesthouse Bed and Breakfast is run by Mike and Paula Chadderton, who previously hosted our Chalet Karin in the Dolomites. Expect a warm welcome and a hearty breakfast cooked by Mike. Paula keeps the beautiful bedrooms immaculately and they are a pleasure to come back to after a day out.
